Susan Cleveland
Minnesota Quilters, Inc. is proud to announce that Susan Cleveland is our 2010 Quilter of the Year. Susan has taught many times at MQ shows in the past. We are very pleased to bestow this award upon one of our unique quilting teachers from Minnesota.
In 1996, Susan gathered the courage to show a quilt in the prestigious Minnesota Quilters Show. To her amazement, it received an award . . . and created a monster! To date, ten of her original pieces have received awards at MQ shows including two Best of Show – Wall Quilt awards. Many of these quilts have also received prizes at the AQS Shows and International Quilt Festivals. Her style is unique and recognizable with a high level of workmanship. Susan has brought her style and precision to others by authoring books, inventing tools, being published in many magazines and sharing her techniques on TV and Internet shows. She has enjoyed teaching and presenting programs at the most prestigious quilt shows with no end in sight.
Susan lives on 70 acres in Southeastern Minnesota with her incredibly tolerant husband, son, daughter, two dogs and several cats.
