T12L: Treatment Goals of a Quiltaholic
Lecturer: Flavin Glover

Addiction to quilting has reached a critical, epidemic level across the country. Full disclosure enables the audience to gain insight into this costly disease. Flavin will share honest assessments regarding what really happens at home when quilting takes over. She will reassure new quilters as she identifies and classifies quiltaholic symptoms. She will promote methods for treating and maintaining the madness and will outline treatment goals, including the elimination of dishes, redefinition of the meaning of clean, and explanation of ways to find time to quilt.
T03L: Creative Quilting With Kids

Lecturer: Maggie Ball

This illustrated lecture should inspire you to pass on the quilting tradition to the next generation. Based on her books, Creative Quilting with Kids and Patchwork and Quilting with Kids, Maggie's talk illustrates examples of projects made from a variety of techniques by children of all ages and skill levels. She shares techniques that are appropriate for intergenerational groups with little quilting experience as well as some new ideas for seasoned quilters to enjoy.

It doesn’t take an elaborate pattern or design to bring satisfaction and beauty. Use simple shapes and patterns to create quilts revealing versatility, beauty, and joy. Kay will share many versions of the Goddess of Light to show how you can work simple patterns in unlimited ways. The samples will be diverse and will highlight the fact that if it brings you joy, it is well worth the work.
