Raffle Quilt for the 2009 Minnesota Quilters, Inc. Show

Lori Allison, Minnesota quilt pattern designer, pieced and quilted “Mariner’s Rhapsody,” the 2009 Minnesota Quilter’s Raffle Quilt.  The total quilt design was inspired by the many quilts seen at past shows around the country. 

The center of the quilt is constructed, with permission, from the pattern, “Pulsar” in the book “Mariner’s Compass Quilts” by Judy Mathieson. 

Layout designed with EQ5 by Lori Allison. Pieced by Lori Allison with piecing assistance from Sharyn Resvick, Polly North, Gail Hanson, Mary Deeney, Audree Sells, Joan Goettelman & Marilyn Carrier. The fabric was designed by Jinny Beyer and generously provided to Minnesota Quilter’s by RJR Fabrics.

Minnesota Quilters, Inc. uses the proceeds from the raffle quilt to support its mission to celebrate the art of quilting. Raffle tickets are $1 each and are available from the MQ office, at MQ meetings and will be available during the Annual Quilt Show and Conference.

You may also order Raffle Tickets as a part of your Show Registration. The person who sells the most raffle tickets by June 1 will receive a prize of a gift certificate to your favorite shop. Please pay for your raffle tickets with cash or checks; we are unable to accept credit card payment for them.

The drawing will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 4pm at the DECC. You need not be present to win. Thank you for your help in making this fund-raiser a success. Good luck!
