T04AL: On With the Show
Susan Cleveland
In 1996, Susan gathered the courage to show a quilt in the prestigious
MQ show. To her amazement, it received an award...and created a monster!
To date, ten of her original pieces have received awards at MQ shows
including two Best of Show Wall Quilt awards. Many of these quilts have
also received prizes at AQS shows and International Quilt Festivals,
appeared on TV and internet shows, and been published in magazines and
books. Susan will share ridiculous stories involving her most treasured
pieces and share tips about special details that make her quilts stand
out. Don’t miss getting a close-up look at these award-winning
pieces, learning some great tips and having a laugh or two, or three...

T20NL: High Tech Meets High Touch
Barb Vlack
Watch Barb demonstrate the “magic” of designing a quilt with
computer software. You don’t have to have any computer experience
to be awed by the ease of creating designs that you probably wouldn’t
draft on paper! Barb has become a practiced expert in using EQ6. She
will bring her computer and a video projector to demonstrate how she
creates quilts that go beyond the ordinary. Barb will also bring a trunk
show of quilts she has made from designs she created with EQ software.
Disclaimer: Barb is not a sales representative for Electric Quilt, though
she has written three books for The Electric Quilt Company and demonstrates
as well as teaches for them at national conferences.
