Quilt Exhibits
- General Information
Minnesota Quilters, Inc. truly welcomes your quilted creations!
Are you considering displaying a quilt in the 2009 Duluth Show?
First,
decide whether you want to receive professional judged feedback and
be eligible for competitive prizes. If so, look into our Judged Exhibit.
If you simply
would
like to display and share your quilt, then the Non-Judged
Exhibit is for you.
Or, look into these additional exhibits:
Children’s
Exhibit: Are you (or do you know) a youngster who would like to show
his/her quilt? See article on this page.
Challenge
Quilt: Folks who purchased 2009 challenge fabrics share their creativity in
this exhibit.
Special Exhibits: This year’s special
exhibits include a Block of the Month Exhibit. You may have just
the quilt for this exhibit.
Small Quilt
Auction: Are you willing to donate a small quilt or quilted item for the show’s
silent auction?
When registering
to display a quilt:
Design Source/Inspiration: Quilters entering quilts in this year’s
show are asked to share an additional piece of information on the quilt
registration forms: the “design source/inspiration” for the
quilt. If you followed a published pattern from a book, magazine, or
pattern company, indicate the designer’s name and/or publication
here. If it is your original design, you may leave it blank.
Hanging Sleeves: Each quilt entered, regardless of exhibit, must have a 4 inch finished
sleeve securely attached to the top back of the quilt.
3-D clothing entries must
have an appropriate stand or hanger.
