Judged Quilt Competition
The MQ judged quilt competition awards thousands of dollars in prize money to quilters every year. Use the links below to learn all about the rules, categories, prize money, and to print the entry form.
Important Information!
Drop Off Dates and Times for Judged Quilt Entries
You may drop off your judged quilt entries at the MQ office* on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, June 5, 6, and 7th, during normal MQ office hours, which are 9 - 5 Tuesday and Thursday, and 1 - 5 on Wednesday. You may also drop them off on Saturday, June 2, or Saturday June 9, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

* Located in the Textile Center, 3000 University Avenue SE, Minneapolis 55414.
Attaching Labels to Your Judged Quilt Entries (Correction)
PLEASE NOTE: There is a discrepancy between the instructions on the website and those mailed to entrants for attaching a label to the back of your entry for the judged competition. Here is the correct information:
If you have not yet attached your label, please attach it near the lower RIGHT* corner of the back of the quilt, cover it with a piece of cloth so the judges cannot see your name, and then pin the hang tag just above it.
If the label is already attached to the left corner, please leave it where it is and pin the hang tag near the lower RIGHT* corner of the back of your quilt.
*This means the lower right corner of the back of the quilt AS YOU ARE LOOKING AT THE BACK OF THE QUILT.
Note: Two categories were not listed on the Entry Form in the registration book, due to an error. They are: Non-Traditional, Large, 1 person, and Non-Traditional, Large, 2 Person. This has been corrected on the Entry Form on the web site, or you may write in the category if you use the form in the registration book.
Important Dates - Judged Quilt Competition:
April 23, 2007ENTRY DEADLINE! Final day entry forms may be postmarked.
May 4, 2007
Entrants will be notified if their quilts have been accepted; directions for submission will be included.
May 28-June 4, 2007
Accepted Judged Quilts may be mailed to: Minnesota Quilters, Inc., 3000 University Avenue SE, Suite 120, Minneapolis, MN 55414
June 2, 5, 6, 7, or 9, 2007
Accepted Judged Quilts may be dropped off at the Minnesota Quilters' office at the Textile Center, 3000 University Avenue SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414. See MQ newsletter or call 612-436-0449 for directions.

June 14, 2007
2007 Minnesota Quilters, Inc., Show and Conference opens.
June 16, 2007
Quilts can be picked up after 6:00 p.m. at the St. Paul River Center.
June 18, 2007
Quilts not picked up at the show will be shipped to entrants only if a pre-paid shipping label has been included with the entry.
