Special Exhibits

Several exciting quilt exhibits await your enjoyment during the 2006 Sew Many Northern Lights Quilt Show and Conference! Be sure to take some time to enjoy these beautiful quilts during your time in St. Cloud.

Quilted Fairie Tales:

From mere fabric and imagination, fabulous fairies come to life. Linda M. Poole has shared her love of fairies and of appliqué quilting with students around the world. The fairies come from far and wide and are to be shared with those seeking beauty and fantasy.

Journal Quilts:

See the 2004 and 2005 Journal Class collections from Colorful Quilts in St. Paul. There are twelve different techniques represented in the 2004 Journal Class samples, from fabric beads to paintstiks, all with a leaf theme. The 2005 Journal Class floral collection also illustrates twelve different techniques. Students choose their own theme and make a “page” at home after learning and playing with the technique in the monthly sessions.

Quilter of the Year:

A special exhibit will feature the quilts of Claudia Clark Myers, the 2006 Quilter of the Year.

2006 MQ Challenge:

Don’t miss the 2006 Sew Many Northern Lights Challenge quilt exhibit. Creative designs from the same basic fabrics, but oh what a difference imagination makes!

Ripple River Quilters' Fabric Challenge:

Ripple River Quilters of the Aitkin area will be exhibiting a fabric challenge.

The Peace by Piece Quilters Block Exchange:

The Monticello area guild will be exhibiting a block exchange.
