Small Quilt Auction

In this annual tradition, quilters throughout the region donate small quilts for a silent auction to be held at the June show. The money raised supports quilt education through public television programs and grants for special projects. This year we will be accepting not only small quilts for auction, but also other fabric items such as purses, dolls, wearable art, bowls, boxes, etc.
We are also encouraging quilt guilds to adopt this as a special project this year by setting a time for members to use up their scraps in creative ways or trying new techniques together (for example: bowl making, book or box embellishing).

Items will be accepted beginning in January 2005. Each item should have the name, address, and telephone number of its maker pinned to it, so that person’s name can be entered into the monthly prize drawings that will be held from January to May. Persons donating items will also receive a free lecture ticket for the June show. If a guild donates 10 or more items together, a special thank you drawing will be held at one of their guild meetings in the spring as well.
