This interactive slide presentation showcases the process for creating this beloved magazine. You’ll get insight on how quilt shops are selected for the magazine, the process for doing photography of the shop, and a behind the scenes look at how this magazine gets into the hands of quilters.

275N– To Border or Not to Border, that is the Question: Karen Kay Buckley

Discover if a quilt needs a border and how to select a border for your quilt. Karen will also explain how she designs many of her borders. This will inspire you to think about how to enhance your quilt with the right border. (or finishing touch)

2768 Quilting to Soothe the Soul: Linda Carlson

Linda shares how quilts and quilting have soothed sorry souls, not just of those who are bereaved, but how the act of quilting has eased the burdens of every day life in many societies. The role of mourning and memorial quilts is discussed. The audience may participate in showing grief journey quilts or relating their own experiences with quilts and quilting as part of their healing process. The trunk show features several quilts and patterns in the trunk show.

The lecture will excite, educate and motivate the viewers.

Take a look at works by members of Sandi’s contemporary quilt group, and also slides and commentary on her own work as a quilt artist. This talk includes some of her reflections on working in a series, sources of inspiration and the courage to experiment.

4878 Creating Your Own Fabric: Mickey Lawler
